Cave Creek and Carefree are neighboring communities and
lie south of the Tonto National Forest and make
the perfect destination for people of all ages because of their scenic
surroundings, boutiques, Western shops and easygoing
Southwestern ambiance.
By driving North on either Scottsdale Road or Cave Creek
Road you will see acres of new development with
stretches of unspoiled desert. Both Cave Creek and
Carefree are approximately 20-30 minutes from Scottsdale
and Phoenix.
The "Boulders" is a first-class resort located in
Carefree. In the town center of Carefree there are
several boutiques and galleries, along with the K.T.
Palmer Sundial, which is one of the largest sundials in
the world.
While Carefree is on the cosmopolitan side, Cave Creek
is a little bit of reminder of old Western. You
will know you are in "Old Town" Cave Creek when you
begin noticing the storefronts and restaurants that
resemble the Old West. There are many modern
residential developments all around, however the center
of town is able to retain its wonderful Western
character. Visitors and tourists love Cave Creek
for its souvenir shopping and antique hunting.
There is also a small museum that shows Native American
artifacts and mining and ranching displays. There
are also several saloons on Cave Creek Road in the "Old
Town" Cave Creek.
Cave
Creek and Carefree are located on the northern outskirts of Phoenix,
Arizona. Cave Creek and Carefree are approximately 30 minutes
drive north of the Sky Harbor Airport, and less than two
hours south of Flagstaff. It is no wonder that the number of travelers,
tourists and new residents to
Cave Creek and Carefree continue to grow. |
